March 14, 2006 - The Houston GIS Day Website is featured in ESRI's global circulation ArcUser Magazine.  CMI is a proud sponsor and participant in the events.  The website, which was designed and maintained by CMI's own Nicholas Popovich, is featured in the article.

November 18, 2005 - The CMI GIS Mentorship team takes 1st place at this years Houston GIS Day events.  CMI mentored Bellaire High School students for two months on the use of GIS applications.  The final project was a detailed analysis of house rebuilding within the City of Bellaire.  The students created maps and detailed reports on where they determined older houses would be bought and torn down to build larger new houses.  The students where awarded medallions, t-shirts, and books about GIS.  CMI is a proud sponsor of the event and we look forward to defending our 1st place results with next years students.
